The person behind Hearth
Reliable. Trustworthy. Responsive. Transparent.
And someone who has actually lived the life you're navigating right now.
Hi, I'm Harish. I built Hearth because I've lived exactly what you're living.
I'm a software architect and engineering manager. I've worked at SF startups and Fortune 500s, managing complex projects across teams and time zones. Operating under pressure is what I'm good at, it's the job.
At home, though, I spent years feeling a week behind.
Two kids with school schedules and activities. A San Francisco house that needed a full kitchen renovation, two bathroom overhauls, a living room remodel, a kids' bedroom refresh all of which I project managed myself on top of everything else. All the coordination, all the follow-ups, all on me. The contractors who ghost, the permits that never come, the weekends that vanish into logistics.
I was good at running operations at work and drowning in them at home. I doubt I'm the only one.
So here's why this matters. When you work with Hearth, you're not handing your life to someone who read about this in a manual. You're handing it to someone who has lived it in this city, in a house, with kids and pets and a to-do list that never ends. I know exactly what it costs to carry all of it.
And I know how much lighter it feels when someone reliable has your back, every single week.
Why I'm Different
An engineering manager running your home life. That's by design.
I don't just coordinate things, I manage them with the same rigor and systems thinking I used to run engineering teams and ship products.
Take a kitchen renovation. I'm not calling a contractor and hoping. I scope the project, vet contractors with the questions most people don't know to ask, set a communication cadence, run quality checks at every milestone, and surface risks before they become yours. It's a professional operating system, applied to your life instead of a product.
What that actually means for you:
Things get done right the first time. I don't accept corner-cutting or half measures. When a contractor slips, I catch it, usually before you'd ever have known there was a problem.
You chase nothing. Ever. I do the following up. You hear from me when it's resolved, not before.
You can actually leave. When I'm on it, it's handled. Whether you're in Tahoe or Tokyo or just trying to make it to dinner on time.
I understand your world. I've worked in SF for over a decade. I know how you think, how you work, and why your time is worth what it is. I won't waste it.
